Star sign Virgo mani for OMD3 challenge, day 22: “Star sign”. 🙂

Hi everyone!! 🙂 

During this last days I was not able to continue the challenge every day because of exams at the university and for the warm WARM weather!!! Here in southern Italy there are nearly 35 degrees every day and with no air conditioning is hard to do anything!!!

Ciao a tutte!! 🙂  In questi ultimi giorni non sono riuscita a continuare la sfida OMD3 challenge ogni giorno a causa degli esami all’università e per il tempo troppo TROPPO CALDO!!! Qui nel sud Italia ci sono più 35 gradi ogni giorno e senza aria condizionata è difficile fare qualunque cosa!!!!

In recent days I’ve continued to do some manicure of the OMD3 challenge and photograph them, now I’ll publish what I’ve done .. Unfortunately it was difficult with the commitments and the weather too warm and I wasn’t able to finis hall of them, but I’m very glad to having participated!! 🙂

For the day 22, whose theme is “Star sign” I made a manicure with the zodiac sign Virgo: I drew the typical symbol of the sign with black polish and a thin brush. On the other nails I used a beautiful blue nail polish (NYC quick dry polish n°208)  and then I applied the glittery top coat (L’oreal Top coat Sirene n°940) with a makeup sponge to create a shiny effect. 🙂

In questi ultimi giorni ho continuato a fare alcune manicure della sfida e fotografarle, ora pubblicherò quelle che io ho finito.. purtroppo è stato difficile con i vari impegni e per colpa del tempo davvero troppo caldo e non sono riuscita a finirle tutte, ma sono molta contenta di aver partecipato comunque!!! 🙂

Per il giorno 22 io ho fatto una manicure col segno zodiacale Vergine: ho disegnato il simbolo tipico del segno con smalto nero e pennellino sottile. 🙂 Sulle altre unghie ho usato un bello smalto blu (NYC quick dry polish n°208) e ho applicato dei glitter (L’oreal Top coat Sirene n°940) con la spugnetta da makeup per creare un effetto luminoso da cielo stellato.

For this mani the theme is “leaves”.. I freehanded each element of the picture with nail polishes and a tiny nail brush!! I really love to paint with brush 🙂 . The clouds are done sponging the white polish with a makeup sponge.

Per questa nail art il cui tema è “leaves” cioè foglie, ho disegnato a mano con smalti e un pennellino sottile!! Adoro davvero tanto dipingere con i pennelli 🙂 . Le nuvolette invece sono fatte applicando dello smalto bianco con una spugnetta da makeup.

My mani for the day 8 of the OMD3 challenge: the theme is “V-shape”!!

La mia manicure per il giorno 8 della sfida OMD3: il tema è “a forma di V”!!

Since I’ve often done this kind of nail art (v-shape, chevron, using striping tape, etc.), especially with various colors, I look for inspiration on internet…  and I found this nail art nail art by @primpnpolish that caught my attention because of its simplicity and linearity. So I chose to do it again just like that, black & white, to break from the multicolor nail art  of these last days 🙂 .

I freehanded the V lines with black acrilic paints!! The black border with Pupa polish n°52. White base by Wycon n°227.

Dato che ho già fatto spesso questo tipo di nail art (v-shape, chevron, usando lo striping tape, ecc), soprattutto con colori vari, ho cercato ispirazione su internet per qualcosa di diverso… e così ho trovato questa nail art di @primpnpolish che ha catturato la mia attenzione per la sua semplicità e linearità. Così ho scelto di rifarla proprio così, in bianco & nero, per spezzare dalle nail art multicolor di questi ultimi giorni 🙂 .

Le linee a V le ho fatte a mano con colore acrilico nero!! Il bordo nero esterno di ogni unghia è fatto con smalto nero Pupa  n°52. La base bianca è con lo smalto Wycon n°227.

“Colorful” is the theme of the day 5, I’m a bit late!!!

I chose to do something very colorful with all the colors of the rainbow 🙂 , so I did a ruffle nailart (using lots of colored polishes) that I’ve already tried and I really like. Here is a tutorial by Chalkboardnails about the ruffle nailart, which explains very well this method!!

“Colorful” è il tema del 5 giorno, sono un pò in ritardo!!!
Stavolta volevo fare qualcosa di molto colorato con tutti i colori dell’arcobaleno 🙂 , così ho fatto una “ruffle nailart” (usando tantissimi smalti colorati) che avevo già provato un’altra volta e mi piace molto. Qui c’è un tutorial by Chalkboardnails sulla ruffle nailart, che spiega benissimo questa tecnica.

Ruffle manicure: briefly, you have to do many rows of connected dots , making many dots with dotter or similar object.

Ruffle manicure: in breve, questa tecnica consiste nel fare tante righe di punti allineati, io ho usato il dotter per fare tutti i centomila pois (o un oggetto simile al dotter va bene come la punta di uno stecchino, la punta di una forcina,..).

However on the index I made the sky with small clouds, done sponging the white enamel on the nail with a sponge.

Invece sull’indice ho fatto il cielo con delle piccole nuvole, fatte passando lo smalto bianco sull’unghia con una spugnetta.

5. Colorful:

Glittery mani for  OMD3 challenge, day 7!! 🙂

Today the theme is glittery, so I’ve decided to use different glittery polish on each nail. But I’m not happy with the result, especially the gradient on the ring that hasn’t come out well !!

Oggi il tema è “glittery”, così ho scelto di usare smalti glitterati diversi su ogni unghia, anche se non sono del tutto contenta del risultato, soprattutto dello sfumato sull’anulare che non è uscito bene stavolta !!

On the ring finger I used the same three colors of the other nails, even if the picture does not seem so.
On the other nails, over the glaze, I’ve made a glittery gradient applying the glitter with the sponge. 🙂

Per lo sfumato sull’anulare ho usato gli stessi tre colori delle altre unghie, anche se dalla foto non sembra così.
Sulle altre unghie, sopra lo smalto, ho fatto uno sfumato glitterato applicando i glitter con la spugnetta.

Products used:

Index finger: –Yves Rocher n°13 (fuchsia base color) + L’oreal 842 “sequin explosion” (glittery top coat, used here);

Middle finger: – Layla n°203 (purple) + Maybelline street artist Top Coat n°02 (glittery top coat);

Pinky: – Collistar gel effect n°557 (lilac color) + Essence Special effect Topper n°02 “circus confetti” (glitter).

Polka Dot for the OMD3 challenge

My mani for the day 6 of the #omd3nails challenge!! Inspired by a manicure by @Yagala, but I’ve decided to realise it with purple colors (a matte purple polish and a mirror polish) and I’ve also added a freehand rose on my middle finger :). Sorry for the dry cuticles but I was in a hurry .

Questa è la mia nail art per il giorno 6 della #omd3nails challenge !! Mi sono ispirata a una manicure di @Yagala , anche se io l’ho fatta sul viola (smalto matte viola e smalto effetto specchio, entrambi di un kit Pupa) e ho anche aggiunto una piccola rosellina sul medio fatta con lo smalto e un pennellino :).

Ciao a tutti!! Oggi a causa di tantissimi impegni lascio giusto questo velocissimo post giusto per mostrarvi la manicure di oggi per la #omd3nails challenge!! (Link per tutte le info e le regole della sfida Oh Mon Dieu nail challenge ).

I made a black & gold mani using the striping tape, and I left my index and my pinky simple. It’s really hard to create a new nail art every day, photograph it and post it on the blog, it’s really hard!!

But I’m very happy to join this interesting challenge 🙂 !!! I hope you like it, see you soon :-).

Ho realizzato una manicure “gold & black” (il tema di oggi della sfida) con la tecnica dello striping tape, le striscette sottilissime adesive; ho lasciato indice e mignolo semplici. E’ davvero dura creeare una nail art ogni giorno, fotografarla e postarla, ma spero di riuscire a continuare il più possibile perchè è una sfida davvero creativa e interessante 🙂 !!!

Here is my mani for the day 3 of the OMD3 challenge : “silver” 🙂

Ciao a tutti 🙂 Questa è la mia manicure per la OMD3 challenge, stavolta il tema è “silver” 🙂

I made a French mani using a silver polish and a black one; for the silver base I used a grey polish by Basic Beauty and then I put a glittery silver top coat by ESSENCE (Effect nail polish n°13 “laser show”); I really love its shimmering silver effect 🙂 !!

Ho scelto di fare una French manicure e come smalto di base argentato ho usato uno smalto grigio Basic Beauty su cui ho steso vari strati di un top coat argentato ESSENCE “Effect nail polish n°13”,  che trovo molto bello e luminoso e volevo usare già da tempo in qualche nail art 🙂 !!
